CRAZY
JANE
Lyrics: Harold Moore & Margaret Moore
Music: Harold Moore
1.
So you're up there under the spotlight-
How you feel tonight? Are you a little uptight?
Or is it just one of those nights Crazy Jane?
You can shine bright through the rain -
My little Crazy Jane.
2.
So you've been a little down-
Baby, we've been pushed around too and we've been through it before-
So tonight's our special night, you are my light-
You can shine bright through the night-
My little Crazy Jane.
Bridge.
And there's been times we all tried and failed you know,
But we cried but then let it go;
So you've got to give, so we can give back to you,
We'll give it back to you, we'll give it back to you once more.
And if you just can't face no more, want to head for the door-
With your face down on the floor;
Then you've got to give, so we can give once more.
3.
So you're up there under the spotlight - how's it feel tonight-
Are you ready to fight?
Because tonight's not one of those nights Crazy Jane-
You can shine bright through the rain-
Not one of those nights Crazy Jane-
Now that you know it's just a game
My little Crazy Jane.

Crazy Jane - Halifax, circa 1987.
A song written by Mary Ellen's brother and sister.
I heard it on a live recording of a band they were all in together, and
immediately fell in love with it. John's reaction was the same, so we put
it to tape. Luckily, Margaret and her husband John Hollis were in town
during recording, and their presence added greatly to the song's success.
